To make your BTR-80 model in 1/72 scale look as realistic as possible, we created a set of 3D-printed wheels in two versions: Ordinary and Weighted.
This set features KI-113 12.00R20 tires, widely used on BTR-80 vehicles during different periods of service. Thanks to their distinctive tread pattern and sidewall shape, these wheels are suitable for both combat and training configurations.
Maximum Accuracy and Realism
During development, we analyzed numerous photos, technical documents, and available physical samples to precisely reproduce:
- the proportions of the KI-113 tire
- the geometry of the wheel rim
- the texture and form of the tread
- the characteristic sidewall deformation in the weighted version
Photopolymer 3D printing delivers a level of sharpness and detail that standard rubber or molded kit parts cannot achieve: crisp tread edges, thin structural elements, accurate mounting surfaces, and a highly realistic wheel stance.
Protection Caps Included
All ScaleX BTR-80 wheel sets include protective wheel caps for each wheel.
They can be installed or left off, giving you more freedom to replicate different field or operational conditions.

BTR-80 — Soviet Armored Personnel Carrier
The BTR-80 is an 8×8 armored personnel carrier introduced in the late 1980s. Combining high mobility, crew protection, and ample internal space, it served in transport, reconnaissance, and combat support roles. Typical armament includes a heavy machine gun and auxiliary observation and communication systems.
